Wednesday: The Hidden Debt of Convenience

A few weeks ago, I came across a podcast clip of Conan O'Brien that stopped my scroll.

The comedian, who has a reported net worth of $200 million, was talking about why he doesn't pay to fly private:

"My rule is I'll fly on a private jet if someone else is paying for it...It's going to sound crazy, but I really like to go through and chat up the people at TSA. I don't mind taking the belt off. I like being in the world with other people that are traveling."

There's a certain level of inconvenience that's an important part of the human experience.

It's why I've come to think of modern convenience as a debt.

When you seek convenience, you get a benefit now (in the form of ease) but it creates a corresponding liability (in the form of reality separation).

Friday: The Focusing Illusion: A Science Backed Life Trap

Imagine two different people on the same mid-January day.
