It was a pleasure to chat with fellow Substacker, Sari Botton today. We covered writing, art, cartoons, and our love of connecting with people in the art we create.
In the second half of our conversation, I did a drawing while she talked about one of her publications which is about aging every step of the way—from your 30’s and beyond. None of us have aged before, each year is a new experience, no matter what age you are.
In anticipation of our live discussion together, I had thought of a drawing to do while we talked. Here it is, and below it are three captions—I wanted to hear Sari’s reaction to the captions, and get your input too.
“If I were younger, I would not be able to handle getting older.”
“Aging is not for the young.”
“The only people who can handle aging are older people.”
“Youth may be wasted on the young, but aging is best handled by the old.”
I thought a poll would be fun, vote for your favorite! And, in the comments below, send me any you thought of.
