The FDA has selected initial participants to advance to the interaction phase of the READI-Home Innovation Challenge, an effort to accelerate patient access to home use medical device technologies that may help reduce hospital readmissions.
Participants selected to advance to the interaction phase of the Innovation Challenge will receive:

Early engagement with the FDA through sprint discussions.

More frequent interactions and feedback to help refine device design and/or relevant testing for home use indications.

An opportunity to demonstrate their technology at the FDA’s research facilities.
These selections represent an important step in advancing innovative technologies for care at home after an acute hospital stay. The FDA intends to update the list as additional participants are selected. Submissions will continue to be accepted through September 30, 2026.
