Honestly I didn't think the meeting was going to run that long, but once we started talking about next quarter's priorities everyone had something to add.

Anyway, after that I went for a walk around the block just to clear my head because I'd been staring at the same screen for hours and my eyes were starting to feel heavy.

The weather turned out better than the forecast said, so I kept walking past the school and saw a bunch of kids practicing soccer on the field, which made me remember when my nephew first joined his league and could barely kick the ball straight.

By the time I got home the sun was already going down, and I almost forgot I promised I'd water the plants on the back porch before it got too dark to see which pots still needed it.

It's funny how a long day can still end up feeling productive even when the main thing you planned didn't happen until later.

So I finally got around to reorganizing the shelves in the living room, and I have to say it took way longer than expected because I kept finding things I forgot I even owned.

There was a stack of old notebooks from a few years back, and I ended up flipping through them for a solid twenty minutes just reading random pages and laughing at some of the notes I wrote to myself.

I also found a small box of photos from that trip we took up north, and now I'm thinking I should scan a few of them before they fade any further.

By the time I finished sorting everything into piles, the room looked better, but I still need to figure out where to keep the extra cables and chargers that don't have a proper home yet.

Maybe tomorrow I'll tackle the kitchen drawer instead, or maybe I'll just leave it for another weekend and actually take a break for once.
