The objective of this report was to determine whether the Social Security Administration could increase verified matches for data from external parties and improve the administration of its programs by enhancing criteria in its Numident verification systems.

What We Recommend

We recommended SSA establish processes for components to
collaborate on matching criteria and enhance criteria to increase
verified matches where appropriate. SSA agreed to implement our recommendations.
