Message from the President
Hello FHS Community!!
Here we are back for the new school year! It seemed really short but I hope everyone had a great summer! The PTSA has been getting ready for the upcoming year. It’s always a busy and exciting time with the whole year ahead of us. We are super excited to show off our new website!!! Our team was hard at work all summer creating this site to make sure it is up to date and helpful. Please check it out! FHS PTSA Website Special Thanks to Bonnie Ji, Kary Loayza, and Frank Manja for all their hard work.
Once again we will need your support! Just a reminder that memberships are for each school year. We count on membership dues to fund our annual budget, so if joining is the only way you can support then we appreciate it! Joining the PTSA does NOT lock you in to anything, it means you will get an occasional email from me about events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities. We actually had our first fundraiser this past week at Freddy’s! We appreciate their support! We hope to have more family nights at local restaurants, keep an eye out for those!! |
This past Friday, the PTSA Hospitality Team hosted 250 teachers/staff to a "Harvest for Success" Breakfast catered by the Silver Diner in Fair Lakes!
Thank you to the FHS Class of 2004 for the generous donation and sponsoring this wonderful event. We also would like to extend a Big Thank You to the Parent and Student volunteers who helped prep and execute. We could not have done this without everyone's support.
 Mock In-Person SAT and ACT Practice Tests at FHS on Saturday, September 19th!
- SAT from 8:15am to 10:50am
- ACT from 8am to 11:15am
The PTSA academic boosters are partnering with Applerouth Tutoring to offer both the Mock SAT and the Mock ACT on Saturday 9/19. This is a perfect opportunity for students who have not started their testing to become familiar with the format in a stress-free environment at FHS for only $25! Students will receive detailed score reports to help them determine which areas they need to study. Students must bring a fully charged FCPS computer. Kindly email academicboosters@fairfaxptsa.org with any questions.

SENIOR PARENTS!! I know that graduation seems a million years away- or maybe you wish it was, but it is time to start planning and fundraising for the All Night Grad party which will be held on Graduation night. I plan to have another virtual session to discuss what the event is and share important information. Our first meeting of the school year will be Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 7pm (L106) in the Career Center. We will also have a table at Back to School Night, so please stop by to say hi!.
