Honestly the way the morning shifted so quickly surprised me, the sky went from clear to overcast before I even finished my coffee. I think I left my sweater on the bench by the door again, but maybe it is in the back room under the stack of notebooks. The neighbor's dog was barking at a squirrel near the fence again, same one from last Tuesday I bet. If you have a spare minute later, could you check the side cabinet for the extra keys? I meant to label that drawer weeks ago but kept putting it off. The radio played that one song twice in a row which never happens, and I laughed out loud in the kitchen. Lunch ended up being a leftover wrap and a handful of strawberries, nothing fancy but it worked. I still have to reorganize the shelf by the window, the one with the ceramic birds. Traffic on the way back was a little slow near the curve, but the long way around had no lights. I might take a different route tomorrow just to see the old mural before it fades. Let me know if you want to walk over later and look at the garden beds.

I finally got around to wiping down the shelves near the back window, the dust was thicker than I realized. The blue ceramic cup is still sitting on the top row next to the old clock, which I keep meaning to move. My sister called about the plant cuttings and whether they need more water or less light, and I told her the corner by the bookshelf is probably fine. We talked about recipes for a while and she mentioned the lemon loaf she made with too much zest, but apparently it was still pretty good. Later I noticed the string lights over the patio had twisted in the wind, so I straightened two of them and left the rest for tomorrow. I spent an hour looking for a single sock and then found it tucked inside a pillowcase, which felt ridiculous but also a little bit funny. The package on the front step turned out to be a book I forgot ordering, the cover has a big gold bird on it. I might start reading it tonight if I can stay awake past ten. The windows are open now and the breeze keeps moving the curtain like someone is standing there, but it is just the air doing that thing it does.
