Hey, thanks for checking in about the weekend plan. I think we should just keep it simple and not overcomplicate things. A long walk by the river sounds perfect, especially if we stop by that little bakery for the cinnamon rolls you mentioned. I was also thinking we could maybe spend some time replanting the window boxes since the weather is finally cooperating. The petunias got a bit leggy last month, so trimming them back might bring in some new growth. I tried calling you after the meeting last Thursday, but the line kept going straight to voicemail. No big deal, just wanted to confirm the time. Let me know if Saturday morning still works for you. I can grab the pruning shears and some fresh potting mix on my way over. Also, I found that old jazz record you were asking about at the thrift store near the library. It has a small scratch on the second track, but the rest sounds pretty clean. Maybe we can play it while we work on the plants. Honestly, I am just looking forward to having a slower day for once. The week felt like a blur of errands and small tasks. A little sunshine and some good conversation should fix that right up. Talk soon.

So I finally got around to clearing out the front closet yesterday. It was way more involved than I expected, but it feels great to have it done. I found three half-empty cans of paint from when we redid the hallway, and a box of old holiday decorations that had seen better days. There was also a stack of magazines I had been holding onto for recipes, but I think I only actually ever made two of them. Anyway, I ended up taking a whole trunk load over to the community drop-off spot. The volunteer there was really friendly and pointed out where the scrap metal and electronics go. Not sure why I put that off for so long. Afterward I went for a long drive out past the edge of town where the new walking trail starts. The air smelled like fresh grass and maybe a little bit of rain coming. I saw a red-tailed hawk just sitting on a fence post, not bothered by me at all. It made me think I should bring a small notebook next time to sketch or just write down a few observations. Sometimes I forget how peaceful it is to just be outside without a phone in my hand. Might go back early next week if the weather holds.
