Honestly I wasn't sure what to tell you about that thing from last week. I keep going back and forth on whether it really matters in the long run.
Yesterday after the rain stopped I walked all the way down to the corner store just to see if they had any of those little lemon cookies left. They didn't, which was annoying.
My neighbor has been practicing the same four chords on his guitar every single evening for two weeks now. Sometimes it drifts through the wall and I catch myself humming along without meaning to.
I finally cleaned out the drawer under the microwave. Found three pens that still work, a stack of old receipts I can't remember saving, and one lonely battery.
The thing about taking a longer route home is that you notice completely different houses. There's one with a bright yellow door that I've started looking for every time.
My friend asked me to water her plants while she's away visiting family up north. I'm a little nervous because I've never been great at keeping things alive.
We spent most of Saturday afternoon just sitting on the porch, watching clouds and talking about nothing important. It was the best part of the whole week.
I should probably get around to patching that small tear in the screen door before it gets worse. Every time the wind picks up it flaps in a way that makes the cat curious.
Last night I tried making pasta from scratch for the first time. It turned out lumpy and uneven, but somehow that made it taste better.
Anyway, that's pretty much what's been happening around here. Nothing wild, just the usual small things that somehow fill up the days.

So I was thinking about what you said earlier about rearranging the living room. I'm still not convinced the couch would fit against the other wall, but I'm willing to try it on a slow weekend.
We hung those string lights on the back patio yesterday. Took longer than expected because the old hooks were rusted and one of them snapped right off.
There's a small bird that keeps returning to the same corner of the fence every morning. I've started leaving a little dish of water out there just to see what happens.
My younger cousin called me out of the blue last night. We talked for almost an hour about old computer games we used to play together as kids.
I finally got around to watching that documentary everyone was talking about months ago. It was fine, but I think the trailer gave away too much.
The light in the hallway has been flickering again. I keep forgetting to pick up a new bulb every time I'm out running errands.
I tried a different coffee shop this morning instead of my usual spot. The barista was friendly and they played good music, but the table was wobbly.
We're supposed to get strong winds tomorrow, so I brought the potted herbs inside. The rosemary is getting tall enough that I might need to repot it soon.
I found an old photo album under the bed while looking for something else entirely. Spent twenty minutes just flipping through it and smiling.
Anyway, that's the latest from my side. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's been a pretty decent stretch of ordinary days.
