I was thinking about that road trip next month and how much planning still needs to happen before we hit the highway. You mentioned maybe grabbing coffee on Thursday afternoon, but I have a work thing that might run long. I can probably slip out by three if the meeting wraps early. Let me know what your schedule looks like and we can figure it out from there.
Also, I found that old playlist from college the other day and it's been on repeat ever since. Definitely bringing that back for the drive. I added a few newer songs too so it's not completely stuck in 2012. The weather looks decent enough for hiking on Saturday, assuming the forecast holds. If it rains we can just do the indoor rock wall instead. Either way I'm bringing snacks.
Did you ever finish that book you started? I got sidetracked and now I have three half-read novels sitting on the nightstand and no idea which one to pick back up first. The mystery one is probably the easiest to jump back into. Anyway, text me when you get a minute.

I was just looking at that new coffee shop that opened on the corner and thinking we should try it this weekend. The menu looked interesting online but I can't tell if they have good seating or just the tiny tables by the window. I'd go early to beat the crowd either way. Let me know if you're free Sunday morning and we can grab something warm before it gets busy.
On a completely different note, I finally organized my desk and found three notebooks I forgot I had. One of them has a bunch of half-finished drawings from last winter. I should probably digitize those before the paper fades any further. There's something satisfying about sorting through old stuff and finding things that still matter. I might do the same with my closet next weekend if I have the energy.
Did you watch that documentary about the coral reef restoration project? I started it last night and got through the first half before falling asleep. Not because it was boring, just because I was exhausted. The underwater footage is stunning. I'd like to finish it tonight and maybe start the one about glacier caves afterward. Too many choices sometimes. Anyway, let's plan something outdoors soon. The weather's been great for long walks.
