Hey, I just saw your message about the weekend plans and I meant to get back to you sooner. Things have been a bit scattered around here with the weather changing and all these errands piling up. I was thinking we could still try to get outside if it clears up by Saturday afternoon. The trails by the north ridge are usually pretty dry even after a light rain, so that might be our best bet if the forecast holds.

I'm also trying to decide whether to bring the old picnic blanket or just grab something from the back of the closet. It's a little worn but still works fine. Let me know if you have a preference. Either way, I'm looking forward to getting out of the house and catching up. We've both been so busy lately.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that my neighbor asked if we could water their plants while they're away next week. I told them I'd be happy to, but I might need a hand on the days I have the early shift. If you're around, maybe we can just split the days and keep an eye on the porch too. They have that big fern that needs a lot of attention.

Anyway, no pressure on the plan. Just wanted to reach out and see what you're thinking. Hope your week's going well and the new project isn't too draining. Talk soon.

So I was thinking about that recipe you mentioned last week and I finally found the page I had bookmarked. It was buried under a stack of old printouts, which honestly says a lot about my filing system these days. The instructions look straightforward enough, though I might swap out a couple of the ingredients based on what I already have in the pantry. I remember you said the sauce was the tricky part. I'll probably do a quick test batch first before committing.

Also, I got around to organizing the shelf by the window like we talked about. It turns out I had way more candle holders than I realized. Most of them are still in decent shape, just a bit dusty. I set aside the ones you said you liked, so feel free to grab them whenever you're over. No rush at all.

Let me know if you still want to borrow the air pump for the car. I checked and it's sitting in the bin under the stairs, right where it should be. I can drop it off this weekend or leave it on the porch if that's easier. Either works for me.

Anyway, that's about all from my end. Hope the rest of your day is calm and the afternoon traffic isn't too rough.
