I met with the landlord on Tuesday about the lease. He said the rent will go up by forty dollars starting in March. I told him I need to think about it for a few days. I have until the end of the week to give him an answer. I'm going to look at two other apartments on Thursday. One is closer to work and the other has a washer and dryer in the unit. I'll decide after I see them both in person.

I'll be back in the office next week. I was working from home this month because the building was getting new carpet on the third floor. The project manager sent an email saying the work is done as of Friday. I checked my calendar and I have three in-person meetings starting Tuesday. I plan to come in at 8:30 like I did before the renovation. My desk is in the same spot, but I need to pick up a new key card from the front desk. I was told they changed the door system on Monday. I'll also bring my laptop charger from home because the one I left in the drawer was moved during the work. I didn't see it in the storage list they sent out. It will be good to get back to a regular schedule after being at the kitchen table for so long.
