Hey, just responding to your note about the team lunch. I think the park across the street works well since the weather is supposed to hold up through the afternoon on Thursday. The tables by the north gate are usually open around noon, so maybe we can grab a couple of them before the rush starts. I packed an extra blanket in my car last week, so if the grass is still damp from the morning, we will have something to sit on without getting everything wet. Bring that card game you showed me last month. The one with the odd-shaped pieces. It was honestly the highlight of the last office gathering, and a few of us have been talking about it since. I think Danny wants a rematch because he still insists the rules were not explained fairly the first time. I am not sure that is true, but it will be fun to watch him try to argue his way through another round. The only thing we need to figure out is who is bringing drinks. I can grab a cooler and some ice on my way in, but I do not want to end up with thirty cans of the same flavor again. Let me know what everyone prefers by Wednesday night.

Also, I finally reorganized my desk drawer this weekend. The number of old cables and random adapters I found was honestly embarrassing. There were at least four different charging bricks that do not match anything I own anymore. I dropped a few in the break room bin in case someone else can use them. The drawer now closes without needing a shove, which feels like a small personal victory. It took longer than I expected because I kept stopping to read old sticky notes stuck to the bottom. One of them just said "refill stapler" in my handwriting, but I have no memory of writing it. Strange how these little reminders pile up.

Thanks for checking in about the plant situation in the lobby. I talked to Sam from facilities this morning, and she said the team is coming by on Friday to repot the tall one near the entrance. Apparently the roots have started wrapping around the inside of the container, which is why it has looked a little droopy even with regular watering. I offered to bring in some fresh soil from my garage, but she said they already have a specific blend they use for these tropical varieties, so it is covered. The smaller succulents on the windowsill are doing fine, though the one in the blue ceramic pot might need a little more direct light. I suggested rotating it every few days so it does not lean too hard toward the window. Easy enough to do when I walk past on my way to the printer.

On an unrelated note, I tried that recipe you sent over the weekend. The one with the roasted vegetables and the garlic yogurt sauce. It turned out really well, even though I had to substitute a couple of things because my grocery store was out of fresh parsley. I used a little dried oregano instead and it was honestly better than I expected. The sauce especially. I made extra and have been putting it on everything since. I think next time I might add a squeeze of lemon at the end for a little brightness. Anyway, thanks for sharing it. Let me know if you have any other favorites you think I should try.
