I called the hotel again this morning about the room for Tuesday. They said my earlier request did not go through, so I made a new one under the same name. The confirmation number is written on the notepad by the fridge. I told them we need it from 9 AM to 2 PM, same as before. The rate is a little higher than the first quote, about $12 more, because the smaller rooms are taken. I will check my email before lunch to make sure the confirmation arrives. If it is not there by noon, I will call the front desk and ask for a paper copy instead. We will still meet in the lobby at 8:45 so there is time to find the room.

I called the restaurant earlier today to confirm our reservation for Thursday. They had us down for 7 PM, which is what we agreed on, but I asked them to move it to 7:30 PM so we have a little extra time if traffic is slow. The person on the phone said that was fine and made the change in their system. I also asked about the table location, and they will try to give us the one near the back windows. It is not guaranteed because they assign those on the day, but I told them we would prefer a quiet spot. I plan to call again Wednesday afternoon just to double-check the new time is still in place. That way we are not surprised when we get there. If anything changes before then, I will let you know right away. For now, I think we are set for Thursday at 7:30 PM.
