I had a meeting with Sarah on Tuesday about the new schedule. We sat down at 2 PM and went over the hours for next month. I told her I can work the early shift on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I need to leave by 4 PM on Fridays. She said that was fine and she will update the board by Thursday. We also talked about the team check-in for next week. I suggested we keep it at 30 minutes instead of an hour, and she agreed. I'm going to send out a note tomorrow with the new time, which will be 9:30 AM on the usual day. That should give everyone a little more time before lunch.

I will be back in the office next week on Monday. I checked my calendar and I have three meetings scheduled for that day. I was out for two weeks, so my inbox has over four hundred unread messages. I plan to sort them by sender first and then reply to the urgent ones. My desk plant is still alive because I asked the front desk to water it twice. I will bring back the laptop charger I took home in March. I also need to update my phone extension list since two people changed desks while I was away. I will not be working late on the first day back. I want to get used to the commute again and see how the new bus schedule works.
