When I first heard Play-Doh was making a new product for adults, I was kind of confused. I immediately had to find out what the hype was for myself, and ordered the new Bloom by Play-Doh, which transforms a childhood classic into a colorful bouquet you can display in your home or office.
With a few molds and a lot of patience, you can make 12 Play-Doh flowers in a variety of colors — you can either stick to the suggested designs or freestyle it with your own color preferences. It’s a pretty satisfying way to spend a few hours — rolling, pressing and shaping dough with your hands. Once I built all of the flowers, I let them dry for about an hour, sprayed them with the included spray and let them dry again. After that, I could barely tell the difference between my Play-Doh flowers and real grocery store bouquet. Your guests will think you’ve taken a ceramics class or two … all thanks to this $40 kit.
As someone who’s been wanting to lean into more screen-free activities, this one is up there with LEGO Flowers and analog photography for me.
