Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for asking about the weekend plans earlier. I didn't get a chance to reply until now because my afternoon completely got away from me. The short version is that the community garden project got rescheduled again, something about a scheduling mix-up with the tools trailer, so now we're looking at the first Saturday of next month instead. Honestly, that works better for me anyway. I still need to finish clearing out the old planter boxes behind the shed and I was not looking forward to doing that in the heat. I think a few of us might go to the lake afterward if the weather holds. Nothing formal, just a couple of folding chairs and maybe some cold drinks. I'll bring the extra tarp in case someone wants shade. You should come if you have time. It won't be a late thing, probably wrap up by mid-afternoon. Let me know what you think. I can run by the hardware store on Friday after work if we need anything.

I finally got around to testing the new route this morning and it's much better than what I used to take. You cut through the side streets by the old library and it skips two of the busiest intersections entirely. There's a little bit of construction near the corner by the park but it only adds about three minutes at most. I think the biggest difference is not having to wait behind the school buses on the main road. Also, there's a small coffee stand set up around the halfway point, nothing fancy but the people running it are really friendly. I stopped for a quick cup and they gave me an extra sleeve without even asking. If you leave around the same time tomorrow, we could meet up and walk the last stretch together. Just text me when you're close and I'll keep an eye out. The weather should be clear enough, maybe jacket weather but nothing heavy. I'll be outside on the corner wearing that gray cap again so you can spot me. That route has been good to me so far.
