Hey, I finally got around to watching that documentary you mentioned last week. It was even better than I expected, honestly. The pacing was a little slow in the middle, but once it picked up again I couldn't look away.

I think the part that stuck with me the most was the interview with the older gentleman who talked about his daily routine. There was something so calm and measured about the way he described everything, like he had found this quiet rhythm in his life.

Anyway, I ended up pausing it about halfway through to make some tea, and then I got distracted reading about the history of the area where it was filmed. Rabbit hole for sure. I'm planning to watch the follow-up episode tonight if I have time after work.

Also I tried that recipe you sent over the weekend. I didn't have fresh basil so I used dried, and I think that was a mistake. The texture was still good, but the flavor was missing something. Next time I'll get the fresh stuff. Let me know if you ever end up making it yourself.

Hope your week is going okay so far. Talk soon.

So I was thinking about our conversation from earlier, and I realized I forgot to mention one thing. The parking situation near the park has actually improved a lot since they repaved the lot.

Last time I went there I found a spot right away, which honestly never happens on a Saturday afternoon. The walk from the far corner still takes a few minutes, but it's a nice stretch of trees and benches along the way.

I also ran into someone from the old neighborhood while I was there. It was good catching up, even if we were both in a hurry. We ended up talking next to the water fountain for a good ten minutes about nothing in particular.

The weather has been holding up pretty well too, which makes a big difference. I was able to leave the windows open all afternoon and not worry about the rain coming in.

If you're free next weekend, maybe we could meet up and grab a walk through the trail again. It's been a while since we did that route, and I think it would be a nice way to reset before the week starts. No rush, just let me know what works for you.
