I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work tonight. I usually go on Saturdays, but we were out of milk and bread, so I decided to just get it done today. It was about 6:15 when I pulled in, and the place was busier than I expected for a Wednesday. I still got everything on the list, plus a bag of oranges because they were on sale. The total came to $43.70, which is about $8 more than last week, mostly because of the chicken. I put everything away as soon as I got home, and now I don't have to go back out until Sunday. Next time I'll try to leave work ten minutes earlier so I'm not in the checkout line with everyone else. I think that would make the whole trip feel faster.

I also picked up a bag of apples because they had the ones I like. I was home by 6:15 and put everything away before I made dinner.
