Right, That was the very same afternoon from last Tuesday. I intended to swing by their place earlier this week but simply ran out of time. I think we can rearrange those dates to a different time slot this week once we're all back. I was going to ask what hour they'd be returning but that lands on a separate day this week. Perhaps you'd like to attempt a Colombian bandeja paisa (essentially a platter). It's basically steak, rice, fried plantains, avocado and red beans, but rewarding to make. ALTERNATIVELY, I could be any one of 3 fantastic Peruvian dishes: lomo saltado (stir-fried beef), aji de gallina (creamy chicken) or ceviche clasico (fresh fish marinated in citrus). I've prepared them all, merely because my kids claimed I couldn't, and they're all wonderful.
