honestly i didn't expect the cactus to survive the winter on the porch but it's sprouting something new.
the little terracotta pot was frozen solid at least three times and yet here we are.
maybe it's the spot - tucked behind the railing post with just enough morning light.
i moved the fern inside two weeks ago but forgot about the cactus entirely.
nature is weirdly resilient.
