Last year, Vanity Fair revived an old franchise called “We Nominate for Oblivion.” It’s basically the opposite of a letter of recommendation, an opportunity for a writer to rant for 600 odd words about something that bugs them—and for the past eight-ish months, I’ve been serving as the magazine’s chief complaint artist. I have bravely taken a stand against misuse of the term “nepo baby,” caring about “Mercury in retrograde,” cruises, and therapyspeak, with more of my issues to come in forthcoming issues. And this week, the hosts of Little Gold Men got in on the fun by naming TV trends they’d love to cancel. Join us for a refreshing spritz of good-humored negativity—and if you’ve got concepts you’d like to nominate for oblivion, I’m all ears.
