Hey, I finally got that thing sorted out. It took way longer than I thought it would, mostly because I had to wait on the parts order to come in. Honestly I was about ready to just leave it for another weekend but the weather was so nice I didn't want to waste the day inside. Let me know if you still need me to look at that other project this week.
I do think we should try to meet up sometime soon though, maybe grab a coffee or something low-key. It's been a minute since we just hung out without a dozen things going on in the background.

Yes, we ended up taking the long way around the lake. There was some construction on the main road so we had to detour through that neighborhood with all the big oak trees. It was actually kind of nice, I hadn't been down that street in years and forgot how quiet it was. We stopped for a bit just to stretch our legs and watch the ducks paddle around near the little bridge. Honestly made the whole detour worth it.
By the time we got back it was already getting dark, so we just ordered a pizza and called it a night. Nothing too exciting, but one of those days that feels full in a quiet way.
