Maybe you’ve heard of New York City’s ongoing froyo craze. It seems to happen every 10 to 12 years. But you know what frozen treat never goes out of style? Ice cream. This summer our contributing critic Mahira Rivers trekked all over town, visiting 76 establishments, to determine the 18 best ice cream shops the city has to offer. Are there surprises? Yes. Unexpected omissions? Definitely. But one thing we can all agree on? Ice cream is forever.
