Yeah I finally got around to fixing the squeaky hinge on the back gate last weekend. Took maybe fifteen minutes once I found the right wrench. Honestly the hardest part was just remembering to buy the lubricant, I walked past that aisle three times at the hardware store. It's so much quieter now, you don't even notice it closing. I keep thinking I left it open because there's no sound at all.
Next project is probably reglazing that one window in the guest room before it gets too cold. Not looking forward to that one, but it needs doing.

I ended up watching that documentary about the octopus teacher last night, the one everyone was talking about a while back. I didn't expect to get so invested in a mollusk's daily routine, honestly. The underwater shots were just incredible though, the kelp forest looked like another planet.
Now I'm halfway through a book about deep sea exploration and suddenly I want to learn to scuba dive. Probably won't, but it's a nice thought.
