Yeah so I finally got around to replacing that broken switch in the hallway, took maybe fifteen minutes once I found the right screwdriver.
The wiring was simpler than I expected actually, just two wires to swap out.
Now the light turns on without that annoying flicker every time.
I'll probably tackle the garage outlet next weekend if I'm feeling ambitious.
