5+ customers asked for a mobile version over the years. Hey d,

Last week, I used GPT-5.6 Sol to convert my Mac app to an iPhone app.

Here's what that process looked like:

  1. Talked through features on long walks with ChatGPT Voice
  2. Mind-mapped and sketched new UI designs
  3. Emailed customers who requested an iOS version
  4. Explored timer apps on iPhone
  5. Downloaded App Store reviews from competitors

That process shaped my initial feature set — then I created a plan using the BMAD skill with Sol Ultra.

Codex turned my Mac app into an iPhone app in 3 days

Overnight, I had a working prototype that I polished over the next two days.

Fun fact
On iOS, someone was squatting on my app name, Super Easy Timer, even though I had published my app on Mac.

I couldn't add iOS as a new platform without an "App Name Dispute." Three different localizations were also squatting on my app name. Apple fixed this in two days so I could start the publishing process.

Want to try the app?

Reply, and I'll invite you to the private iOS TestFlight beta.
