Yes, that fell on the identical weekday as the prior week. I planned to visit them this week but ran short on time. I think we can reschedule the appointments to a different day this week after our return. I needed to find out what time they would be back, but that falls on a separate day. You might want to attempt a Venezuelan pabellón criollo (literally, national flag). It involves beef, rice, plantains, and black beans, and is quite enjoyable to prepare. Alternatively, I could prepare any of 3 amazing Mexican dishes: birria (with beef), cochinita pibil (with pork), or chiles en nogada (stuffed poblano peppers in a creamy walnut sauce).
