On Thursday 30 July, the gorge fills up with rubber ducks, a crowd on the bridge, and a race nobody can call until the very last splash. It's the Great How Stean Duck Race, back again this year, raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association, the two charities that keep this stretch of the Dales safe.
