home at an ATLAS site
near you!

ATLAS

ATLAS (Accessing Telehealth through Local Area Stations) is a new opportunity U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provides for Veterans to receive care closer to home. ATLAS serves as a solution for challenges such as long travel times to VA medical facilities and limited internet connectivity at home.

As part of ATLAS, San Francisco VA Health Care System in partnership with County of Mendocino Department of Social Services is now offering video appointments at the Fort Bragg Veterans Memorial Building (360 North Harrison Street, Fort Bragg, CA 95437). Veterans can currently receive the following clinical services at this location:

  • Primary care
  • Mental health

At the Fort Bragg ATLAS Site, Veterans will have a private, comfortable appointment room to meet with VA providers.

All ATLAS appointments are conducted through VA Video Connect, VA’s secure videoconferencing software that enables Veterans to meet with their providers virtually. There is no copay for VA Video Connect appointments.

To schedule a video appointment at the Fort Bragg ATLAS Site, please contact:

  • Primary Care: 707-468-7700 then press zero
    Mental Health: 707-522-6530
    For all others: 415-379-5661

If the clinical service you are seeking is not currently offered at this ATLAS site, please speak to your local VA or PACTeam about adding it.

A festive summer dessert

No-bake mini cheesecakes

Just like balanced meals, balanced snacks help keep your energy steady and keep you feeling satisfied between meals. A balanced snack pairs a carbohydrate (for quick energy) with either a fat or a protein (to help you stay fuller longer and prevent energy crashes).

Try these no‑bake mini cheesecakes for a festive summer dessert. Mix graham crumbs, butter, and cinnamon for the crust, then whip Greek yogurt, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla for the filling. Chill for at least an hour and top with berries (optional).

Ingredients

¼ cup finely ground graham cracker crumbs (about 1 full graham cracker sheet)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¾ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
4 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufchatel), softened at room temperature
2½ tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh berries (optional)
