If you've watched any of my recent videos on morphology, you might have come away thinking one of two things.
Either: "Yes, I want to start teaching this."
Or: "This sounds like one more thing on a list that's already too long."
Both reactions make sense.
Here's what I want you to know if you're in the second camp.
Morphology isn't a separate subject you have to add to your literacy block. It's the natural layer on top of the phonics you're already teaching. Students learn how prefixes, suffixes, and bases work together. They become better readers AND better spellers in the process.
You don't have to overhaul anything. You just need a small set of materials that let you weave morphology into the phonics work already on your plate.
P.S. Are you a skimmer? Here's the scoop. Our Word Matrix Activities are 180 differentiated word matrix worksheets that let your students practice phonics and morphology at the same time. Normally $24, just $10 through Friday. BUY NOW.

We hope to complete the entire transition by the end of 2026.
