Reader Asks: Am I Overreacting, or Is My Husband Trying to Get Me Drunk Before Sex?"I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or not but I have the feeling that my husband tries to get me tipsy before we have sex. He keeps refilling my glass and insisting for us to share just one more drink on nights leading up to sex. For the most part I don't think that's a logical conclusion for me to draw because it's not like it modifies my consent in any way - I would still agree to have sex if I wasn't drunk and he knows this. And he isn't pushing for different kinds of sex when I'm drunk, that maybe I wouldn't normally agree to so it's all good. And recently we were discussing trips and where to go on our next travel and he references that trip in Italy and that particular night as 'the best sex he ever had'. That made me really quietly angry somehow so now I feel like I'm questioning this entire sex dynamic we have but I don't know if I'm crazy or not. What do you think? For context, we’ve been together approximately 17 years (since early 20s) and married for 15.”... Continue reading this post for free in the Substack app |
