I think the new soil mix and the consistent watering schedule made a huge difference. The basil is also thriving, and I've already made several batches of pesto. I added some bell peppers and jalapenos to the garden this year, and they are just starting to flower. I'm hoping they'll produce enough to make some stuffed peppers. The weather has been pretty cooperative so far, a good mix of sun and rain. I'm also experimenting with growing cucumbers vertically this year, which seems to be saving a lot of space.
