Hi folks,

Three of our InfoQ Online Certification Program cohorts start in August, and each one is a chance to work directly with one of those practitioners for five weeks, in a small group, on the decisions you are facing right now.

Normally, you meet people like this through a talk or a book. Here you get five weeks of live sessions with them, alongside senior engineers and architects from other companies. That combination, the facilitator plus the peer group, is the whole point.

Luca Mezzalira, Architecture (starts August 13)

Author of Building Micro-Frontends and the voice behind the Dear Architects newsletter, Luca leads the architecture cohort on the sociotechnical side of the job. It covers communicating trade-offs, decentralized decision-making, platform engineering, and architecture decisions for AI systems. Explore the cohort.

Michelle Brush, Engineering Leadership (starts August 21)

An Engineering Director for SRE at Google, and before that a leader at Cerner and Garmin, Michelle wrote two chapters of 97 Things Every SRE Should Know and has served on the QCon San Francisco program committee. Her cohort covers organizational foundations, technical strategy, execution, measurement and accountability, and the long-term cost of what teams run. Explore the cohort.

Katharine Jarmul, AI Security & Privacy (starts August 26)

Author of Practical Data Privacy and the opening keynote speaker at InfoQ Dev Summit Munich 2025, Katharine leads the AI security and privacy cohort for teams shipping AI in regulated industries. It covers sensitive data handling, threat modeling and red teaming, controls and sandboxes, observability and evaluations, and governance. Explore the cohort.

Each cohort is five weeks, four hours a week, live online. Full syllabi, dates, and registration are on the cohort website.

See all three cohorts.

More soon on the part people tend to talk about afterward: the peer group.
