Okay, hear me out: the classic fruit salad doesn’t have to be boring. Cold, refreshing and healthy, this summery dish now has another ace up its sleeve: it can be ‘swicy,’ a classic flavour combo of sweet and spicy. This week, we share some tips for
jazzing up your humble fruit salad.
Drizzle it with hot honey; add a shake of Tajín, the iconic Mexican blend of dried mild chilies; add vegetables. And no, that’s not a typo – you can
add veggies to your fruit salad (!!) for an added layer of texture. Think: radishes, cucumbers, peppers. Go wild.
And summer months are perfect for crisp white wines. Our
seven picks this week are inspired by Spain’s Rueda region, known for its verdejo grape variety, which has been cultivated in the hot, dry northwest corner of Spain for more than 1,000 years.
