Regarding the backup rotation schedule for the network drives. We have been running a full backup every Sunday evening at 10 PM with incremental backups Monday through Saturday. The retention policy keeps the last four full backups and daily increments for two weeks. I reviewed the log from last night and noticed the archival process took longer than expected because of the large media files in the shared marketing folder. We might need to exclude temporary cache directories to speed things up next time. Also the offsite replication completed successfully to the secondary data center. Let me know if you want to adjust the compression ratio or change the verification window. I think the current settings are adequate for compliance but we can increase the frequency if project demands ramp up. I also added a notification alert for when the backup size exceeds 500 GB so we can proactively manage storage capacity.

The garden club meeting yesterday was productive. We decided to shift the autumn planting schedule by two weeks because of the extended warm weather we have been having. The soil temperature is still above 65 degrees which is good for the late season tomatoes but not ideal for starting the cool crop rotation. I volunteered to bring the soil testing kit to the next session so we can check the pH levels in the raised beds near the shed. The compost pile is ready to turn and we should have enough material to top dress the perennial border before the first frost. Also I will send out the sign-up sheet for the community mulch delivery event. Let me know if you think we should add another layer of cardboard under the wood chips to suppress the Bermuda grass near the fence line.
