Rowan: I was thinking about the community garden plot this morning.
Morgan: The one near the library? I walked past it yesterday and the tomatoes are doing well.
Rowan: They are. I noticed the basil has really taken off since the rain last week.
Morgan: Do you think we should stagger the planting next season?
Rowan: Possibly. The beds that were planted later seem to have fewer gaps.
Morgan: I also wanted to ask about the compost bin situation. Is there room for another batch?
Rowan: There is space behind the shed. I can help turn it on Saturday if you want.
Morgan: That would be helpful. The lower layer needs more air circulation.
Rowan: I will bring the pitchfork and a pair of gloves.
Morgan: Good. Also, the harvest schedule for the peppers is coming up soon.
Rowan: Yes, the bell peppers are almost ready. The jalapenos need another week.
Morgan: I will mark the calendar. Do we have enough jars for pickling?
Rowan: I think so. I saw a stack in the shed that were cleaned last fall.
Morgan: Perfect. I will check the lids to make sure they seal properly.
Rowan: Sounds like a plan. I will see you Saturday morning then.
Morgan: I will be there around nine. We can make good progress before it gets warm.
Rowan: Looking forward to it. The garden has been a good project this year.
Morgan: It really has. I enjoy the quiet time and the fresh air.
Rowan: Same here. See you then.
