"Okay, morphology matters. But what am I actually supposed to do with my students?"
If that's where you are, you're in good company. It's one of the most common questions I get.
Because knowing morphology matters is one thing. Knowing what it looks like on a Tuesday morning with a room full of five, six, or seven-year-olds is another.
The good news: you don't need to add a whole new block to your day. Most morphology work in the primary grades can fit right inside the phonics and spelling instruction you're already doing.
In my latest YouTube video, I'm walking through some of my favorite morphology activities for kindergarten, first, and second grade, including word play, morpheme chains, word sums, and simple word matrices.
P.S. Ready to go from "I should teach morphology" to actually teaching it? Join me July 20-24 for my 5-day Kickstart Your Morphology Instruction challenge. Early bird pricing is just $15. Sign up here.

We hope to complete the entire transition by the end of 2026.
