Yeah, I finally made it up to the trailhead last weekend. The weather was perfect, not too hot and the sky was clear all day. We started around 7am and the first few miles were pretty steady climbing. I forgot how good it feels to be out there with just the sound of leaves and birds.
We stopped at the ridge for lunch and you could see for miles. The descent was rough on my knees though, I'm not going to lie. By the time we got back to the car we were both exhausted but in that really satisfying way.
I think we covered about 10 miles total which is more than we planned but the trail just kept going and the views kept getting better. Next time we want to try the loop that goes past the lake. Let me know if you want to join, I'll send you the details.

I tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week WTl9grvmjaQ and it turned out way better than I expected. I was a little skeptical about the sauce because it seemed too simple but the flavors really came together.
