I think the best approach for Saturday would be to start prepping the vegetables the night before. I have been testing a new method for grilling bell peppers and zucchini that works really well. You just toss them with olive oil and a bit of smoked paprika before they go on the grill. For the main course I was thinking we could try that dry rub recipe my brother shared last month. It has brown sugar and cumin and a few other things. Let me know if anyone has dietary restrictions I should plan around. I will pick up the buns and condiments on Friday afternoon. Also I wanted to ask if you could bring that large platter you have for serving. Mine is a bit small for a group this size. We should have enough seating if we pull the patio table over next to the deck. I will set up the cooler with drinks and ice in the morning. The weather forecast looks clear so we should be fine outdoors.

I finally started going through the boxes in the basement last weekend and it took longer than I expected. The main issue was deciding what to keep and what to pass along. I found a box of old notebooks from college that I had forgotten about. Some of them are worth keeping for the notes but most of them I can probably recycle. I also came across that set of glassware from my aunt which I will hold on to. For the books I sorted them into three piles and that seemed to work well. The hardest part was letting go of things that have sentiment but no real use. I am planning to take the donate pile to the center on Tuesday if you want to add anything of yours. Let me know if you need help going through your storage area too. I have a few boxes of kitchen items that I am still sorting through and I could use a second opinion on some of them.
