Oh yeah I totally understand what you mean about the garden this season. We planted tomatoes and bell peppers back in early April and theyre finally starting to really take off. Theres something so satisfying about watching them grow day by day. I water them every evening when the sun isnt as harsh and Ive been trying out this new compost mix a neighbor recommended. It seems to be working because the leaves are so much greener than last year. I also added a few marigold borders around the raised beds to help with pests and honestly they just make everything look happier. My partner thinks Im overdoing it but I find it relaxing after a long day at work. We might try zucchini next year if we can expand the space a bit. Anyway just wanted to share because I know you were thinking about starting your own little patch. Its a lot of trial and error but totally worth it when you harvest your first ripe tomato.

Hey I was just telling my sister about that podcast you recommended last week. I finally started listening to it on my drive to work and honestly I cant believe I waited so long. The first episode alone had me hooked. The way they break down each story with so much detail and context makes it feel like youre right there. Ive already gone through three episodes and Im trying to pace myself so I dont run out too fast. She asked if I had any good recommendations and I immediately thought of you because you always find the most interesting stuff. I also started that book you mentioned the one about the history of mapmaking and its surprisingly engaging. I thought it might be a little dry but the writing is really vivid. Anyway just wanted to let you know your taste is as solid as ever. Let me know if you come across anything else good. Also I finally tried that little bakery on Grand and the sourdough is incredible. You were right. krV3OkEAIm5
