Regarding your question about the garden layout: I'd suggest putting the raised beds along the south side so they get full sun. We tried that last spring and the tomatoes did really well. Also, if you mix in some compost a few weeks before planting, the soil structure improves a lot. I can send you the link to the compost blend we used. Just let me know if you need the measurements for the bed frames-I have them saved.

We went to that new bistro last night and the pasta was excellent. I'd recommend the mushroom ravioli if you end up going. Also, they have a small parking lot so arrive early.
