The layout we discussed works well, though shifting the herb beds closer to the shed might make maintenance easier over the summer. Let me know what you think about adjusting the path width to accommodate the wheelbarrow without compacting the soil near the tomatoes. I was looking at the rainfall data for last season, and we might want to add a small rain barrel setup near the downspout on the north side. It could supplement our watering schedule nicely during the drier months. Also, I will bring the extra stakes and twine I have stored in the garage. We can map out the exact spacing when we meet on Saturday. If the weather holds, we could even get the first row of seeds in the ground by the afternoon.

I finally finished the book last night. The second half moved much faster than I expected, and the author's note at the end provided some interesting context on the research involved. Are we still meeting at the usual spot on Wednesday? I wanted to ask if we should pick a non-fiction selection for next quarter. I found a few options that explore urban development and local history that might pair well with the novel we just read. I can send over the shortlist if everyone is interested. Also, I will bring the notes I jotted down about the recurring themes in the chapters. It might help spark some discussion if we run out of things to talk about.
