I ended up taking a different route to work this morning because of the construction on Main Street and honestly it might be my new go-to. Added maybe five minutes but the drive was way more relaxing and there's a pretty nice view of the river for most of it. I saw a heron fishing near the bridge which was pretty cool. Traffic was light too so I got in feeling actually calm instead of frazzled. You should try it sometime. Take the old mill road exit and follow it past the nature preserve.
