yeah i think that sounds about right honestly. i finally got around to checking the new place and it's a lot bigger than i remembered. the kitchen has this weird little pantry nook that i'm pretty sure used to be a closet. we could probably fit a small table in there if we really wanted to. let me know what you think about saturday morning instead of friday since i have that thing i mentioned. also thanks for sending over those directions earlier because i would've ended up on the wrong highway for sure. anyway no rush just let me know when you're free and i'll block it off.

i was looking at the calendar today and realized we haven't caught up in a while. the weather here has been all over the place which is pretty typical for this time of year i guess. my neighbor just got a new dog and it barks at every single leaf that moves which is kind of funny but also loud. i started a new book last night and couldn't put it down till around two in the morning so now i'm running on coffee and hope. hope you're doing well over there and we can figure something out soon.

the other day i tried making that pasta recipe you gave me and it turned out surprisingly edible so i'll call that a win. i added extra garlic because you know me and garlic. i think the secret is letting the sauce simmer for a bit longer than you think it needs. anyway no big news here just wanted to say hi and see how things are going on your end.

oh i totally forgot to mention that thing we talked about last week. i ran into sarah at the market and she said the project is moving forward but they're waiting on a few approvals before they can actually start anything. i told her i'd pass along the message so consider yourself updated. also i finally fixed that shelf in the hallway and it only took me three tries and one mild frustration incident. it's holding up fine now though so i'm counting it as a win. let me know if you want to borrow the toolkit i used because it actually made things way easier than the old one.

the other morning i was out walking and saw a hawk just sitting on a streetlight like it owned the place. it stayed there for a good five minutes just looking around before it flew off toward the park. nature is wild sometimes. also i finally cleaned out that closet i've been avoiding for months and found a box of old photos from college which was a trip. i'll have to show you a few next time we meet up because some of them are genuinely hilarious. anyway that's about it from over here nothing too exciting just life doing its thing.
