I think the trailhead near the old mill is the best starting point because the parking lot is usually empty on Sundays. We should aim to be there by 7am to avoid the afternoon heat and also because the views are better in the morning light. The full loop is about 6 miles which should take us around 3 hours with a couple breaks. I checked the trail conditions online and they said the path is clear but there might be some muddy spots near the creek crossing so waterproof boots would be a good idea. I can bring extra snacks and a map in case anyone forgets theirs. Also I wanted to ask if you mind if I invite my neighbor Rachel she has been wanting to get out more and she knows the area pretty well. Let me know if that works for you and if you think we should adjust the meeting time.

I also wanted to mention that the forecast shows some clouds but no rain expected so the conditions should be comfortable. I will pack a light jacket just in case and I suggest everyone brings at least a liter of water. The trail has some elevation gain around 800 feet so it is moderately challenging but nothing too extreme for a casual group. We can take breaks as needed and I know a couple good spots for photos.

AAA • Roadside support for residents
I was thinking we could try meeting every other Tuesday evening since that seemed to be the most common preference from the group. The library has a study room we can reserve for free on Tuesday nights so that would save us from having to host at someones house each time. For the first meeting we should pick a book that is already popular so we can get started right away rather than spending time debating options. I have a few suggestions in mind but I wanted to run them by you first before I propose them to the group. We also need to decide on how long we want the discussion to run I was thinking 90 minutes would be enough time to talk through the main themes without dragging on. Let me know if you have any preferences on the genre or if you think a different day of the week would work better for you.

Also I wanted to mention that the study room has a projector and a whiteboard which could be useful if we want to take notes or look up passages together. The library allows us to bring snacks as long as they are not too messy so I can bring some crackers and fruit. We should also decide on a system for choosing books maybe a rotating pick where each person gets a turn every few meetings. I think that keeps things fair and gives everyone a chance to share something they enjoy. Let me know your thoughts on all of this.
