Thanks for checking in about the community garden plots. I measured the available space yesterday and we have about 200 square feet to work with near the south side of the park. The soil quality actually looks better than I expected after the winter season. I was thinking we could plant tomatoes along the fence line and maybe some peppers in the raised beds. Let me know if you have preferences for what varieties to include. I can pick up seedlings this weekend if we decide on a plan. The gardening group mentioned they have extra compost available if we need it. Also wanted to ask if you have any leads on affordable mulch suppliers in the area. The park district might have some resources available too. I also spoke with the maintenance team about the water access point and they confirmed the spigot near the shed is operational. That should make watering much more manageable during the drier weeks. We should probably set up a schedule for watering duties once we get everything planted.

Regarding the neighborhood watch schedule for next month, I looked over the sign-up sheet and noticed we have a few gaps on weekday evenings. I can cover Tuesday nights if that helps fill the openings. The coordinator mentioned we need at least two people per shift for the patrol routes to work effectively. I think we should also discuss setting up a group messaging system for quicker communication during incidents. Some residents were asking about training sessions for new volunteers and I wanted to see if you had any information about when those might be offered again. The last session was well attended and people found it valuable. Also the city council is considering some changes to street lighting on the east side of the neighborhood which could affect visibility for evening patrols. Might be worth bringing up at the next meeting. I can prepare a brief summary of the lighting proposal to share with the group if that would be helpful. Let me know what you think about these items before the planning session on Thursday.
