Oh, I totally get what you mean. We had a similar situation last spring when our contractor kept pushing the timeline. I ended up just calling them directly and asking for a firm date. Honestly, it helped a lot because they realized I wasn't going to let it slide. The whole thing reminded me that sometimes you just have to be the squeaky wheel. Anyway, we finally got it sorted and the work turned out fine. I hope yours comes together just as smoothly. Let me know if you want the name of the guy who ended up doing ours - he was super reliable and didn't overcharge. I know how frustrating it can be when nothing seems to line up. Just keep at it, and don't let them brush you off. You've got this.
Also, we tried that new place on Elm Street last weekend. The food was decent but the service was a little slow. I'd give it another shot though, maybe on a weekday. Let me know if you want to go together sometime. I'm free most Thursday evenings.

I was just telling my brother about that hike we did near the ridge last fall. He's been wanting to try something similar but with less elevation gain. Honestly, I think he'd love the trail we took on the second day - the one that looped around the lake. It was mostly flat and the views were incredible. I still can't believe we saw that deer right on the path. Anyway, I told him I'd send over the map and the gear list we used. If you have any recommendations for a good pair of lightweight boots, let me know. He's been asking around and I figured you might have a solid lead.
On another note, I finally started that book series you recommended. I'm only about a hundred pages into the first one but I'm hooked. The pacing is really good and the characters feel real. I can see why you said I'd like it. I'll let you know once I finish the first book. Thanks again for the suggestion.
