I think the best approach for the community garden layout would be to place the raised beds along the south-facing wall. That way the tomatoes and peppers get maximum sunlight throughout the day. We could use the shaded area near the fence for herbs like mint and cilantro since they don't need as much direct sun. The soil testing results came back yesterday and the pH is slightly acidic which is actually perfect for blueberries if we want to add a couple of bushes along the edge. I already checked with the parks department and they confirmed we can use the water spigot on the east side of the lot. We should probably schedule a work day for the first weekend of next month to get the frames built and the soil delivered. I can bring my truck for hauling the lumber if needed. Let me know what you think about the layout and if we should also include a small seating area near the back corner.

So after looking at the schedule more carefully I think we should shift the meeting to Thursday instead of Wednesday because the conference room is booked for the quarterly review on Wednesday afternoon. I reserved room 204 for 2pm to 4pm and it has the large monitor for presentations. The agenda items we need to cover include the volunteer schedule for the fall festival, the new safety guidelines from the main office, and the parking lot repaving timeline that was sent out last month. I asked Karen to bring the updated contact list and she said she would have copies ready. Let me know if you want me to prepare a handout for the new guidelines or if you think an email summary would be sufficient for the team.
