I think the best approach for the patio project would be to start with the pavers along the south side where the drainage is better. We talked about using that recycled concrete mix instead of buying new flagstone. It will save roughly half the cost and give a more organic look once it weathers a bit. The crew can prep the base this weekend if the weather holds. I will bring the compactor and the edge restraints on Friday morning. Let me know if you want to shift the layout to include the fire pit area now rather than later.

I looked into the potluck situation for Saturday. The quinoa salad recipe you sent works well but I would swap the dried cranberries for chopped apricots and add a little toasted almond on top. It holds up better at room temperature and does not get soggy. I will bring a double batch so we have enough for everyone. Let me know if you want me to also grab some of those lemon bars from the bakery on the way or if you already have dessert covered.
